Sewer imaging using drones has become a simple and highly effective way of capturing images of sewer pipes on a property before backfilling occurs. If taken over a period of time, particularly on large commercial sites, captured images can form an invaluable ‘log’ of work completed. These images can also be used to produce Sewer Service Diagrams (SSD) which are a requirement of NSW Fair Trading and Sydney Water.
Sewer Service Diagrams (SSD) depict the location of private sewer pipes. When performing any sewer drainage work on a property, the licenced plumber or drainer must submit a new or revised Sewer Service Diagram to the property owner as well as NSW Fair Trading. Once submitted, these Sewer Service Diagrams are then retained and accessed via Sydney Water.
The creation of these diagrams can be time consuming and not particularly accurate when drawn freehand. That’s where our state-of-the-art drones come in. We can capture shots of your sewer pipes then create the Sewer Service Diagram on your behalf, saving you time and money.
